Work out what to arrange first.
You might be starting a new plan, dealing with a service that isn’t working or trying to organise several providers at once. A support coordinator helps you work out what needs attention and what to do next.
We explain the options, help you compare providers and organise the connections. You choose who you work with, including providers outside KIRAYA.
If a service stops or your needs change, we can help you review the arrangement and look for alternatives. Along the way, we help you learn how to make more of these decisions yourself.
Help with your plan and providers.
You don’t need to sort out the whole plan before asking for help.

Go through the supports in your plan and identify what you want to arrange first.
“My services aren’t working together.”

A new plan, three providers and a gap on Wednesday mornings.
A participant has several services in place, but a change to one provider’s roster has left them without the morning assistance they need each Wednesday.
A KIRAYA coordinator would go through the current arrangement, identify the gap and discuss the participant’s preferred options.
They could help contact suitable providers, compare availability and organise the agreed change with the other people involved.
A weekly plan that covers the support needed.
The participant keeps the choice of provider. The coordinator helps turn that choice into a workable arrangement and checks whether it is meeting the need.

getting started.
FROM THE JOURNALSupport coordination vs plan management: who does what?Read the guide ↗Can I choose providers outside KIRAYA?
Yes. The providers you use are your choice. Support coordination should help you consider suitable options and make your own decisions.
Is support coordination the same as plan management?
No. A support coordinator helps organise your supports. A plan manager deals with payments and funding administration. They have different roles.
